Dr. Shannon Savage-Cerna Dr. Shannon Savage-Cerna has been practicing general family dentistry in San Antonio for over 31 years. She received her doctorate degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. She graduated Cum Laude from Del Mar College where she received her Dental Hygiene certification. Dr. Savage-Cerna stays informed about the latest dental techniques and advancements through her regular participation in continuing education instruction, attending dental conferences and through active involvement in numerous dental associations.
Claudia Avalos (Front Office) Claudia has worked in the dental field for over 24 years and has been with Auburn Dental for the past six years. She loves building relationships with patients and takes pride in helping them feel at ease. Outside of work, Claudia enjoys traveling and cherishes every moment spent with her family—especially her grandbaby.
Jennifer Lopez (Front Office)
Jenn brings over 20 years of experience in dentistry and has been part of Auburn Dental since 2005. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. When she’s not at the office, Jenn loves spending time with her family and staying busy with her five beloved dogs.
Lisa Magan (Dental Hygienists)
Lisa has been a dental hygienist for more than 20 years. Originally from Georgia and South Carolina, she moved to San Antonio to attend UTHSC and has called it home ever since. She finds the most joy in seeing the positive impact a healthy smile has on her patients. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys outdoor adventures, traveling, and riding motorcycles with her husband, as well as relaxing at home with her fur babies.
Yolanda Champion (Dental Assistant)
Yolanda has been in the dental field for 27 years, including 22 alongside Dr. Cerna. Known for her friendly and upbeat personality, she loves making patients feel welcome and relaxed. Helping others with their smiles and overall health is what drives her passion for dentistry. Yolanda enjoys beach trips and spending quality time with her large and loving family—her husband of 42 years, 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
